BROWNSVILLE, TX – The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) awarded 11 graduating high school seniors with $2,000 scholarships through its Project SHARE Scholarship Program to support their pursuit of higher education at accredited universities this fall.

In 2024, BPUB increased these scholarships from $1,000 to $2,000 to better support students’ educational futures.

BROWNSVILLE, TX – The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) is proud to announce that Cory Carswell, Director of Power Supply and Market Operations, has been elected to represent municipally owned utilities on the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Wholesale Market Subcommittee. The Wholesale Market Subcommittee is a voting body that reports to ERCOT’s Technical Advisory Committee, which in turn advises the ERCOT Board of Directors.
