The Brownsville Public Utilities Board is proud to introduce our redesigned website, now rebuilt from the ground up to be faster, easier to use, and packed with new tools that put the information you need at your fingertips. Here's a quick tour of what's new.
Search Everything in One Place
Use the search icon at the top of any page to instantly find what you're looking for whether it's pages, forms, documents, FAQs, board meetings, and even department contacts. Try typing "pay my bill," "watering schedule," or "start service" and go straight to the answer.
A New Outage Center
The Outage Center brings everything storm- and outage-related together: a live outage map, tips for reporting electric or water outages, and safety guidance for before, during, and after severe weather. During an outage, it's your fastest way to see what's happening and what to do next.
Live Drought & Reservoir Conditions
Water matters in the Rio Grande Valley. Our new Drought & Water Supply page shows Brownsville's current drought stage alongside live reservoir levels for Amistad and Falcon, pulled directly from Texas Water Development Board data — plus your watering schedule and what each drought stage means for you.

The entire website is now available in Spanish. Look for the language toggle in the site menu to switch between English and español on any page.

A Document Library That's Actually Easy to Browse
Annual reports, rate schedules, forms, and public documents now live in one organized Document Library, sorted by category and searchable like everything else on the site.
Board Meetings, Agendas & Grid Conditions
Find upcoming board meetings and agendas right on the homepage, and keep an eye on statewide electric grid conditions with the live ERCOT status display.
Built for Your Phone
More than half of our visitors browse on a mobile device, so the new site was designed phone-first. Now every page, form, and map works just as well in your hand as on your desktop.
